Planning a Wedding Made Easy

Thanks for the article from Laura Ryan

I kept hearing from all of my friends how stressful and hectic planning a wedding can be so when my boyfriend proposed, I was a little apprehensive at the idea of planning a wedding myself. Luckily for me, a cousin showed me how I was able to save time (and money!) but doing most of the planning of the wedding online.

I first started out by doing the usual things such as scoping out all the great wedding venues that were local to my fiance and I but that would also be convenient to get to for family and friends. I was surprised at all the different venues that were available and close by including ones I did not even know existed. Being able to use my fast hughes net packages really helped me look at all the sites in no time giving me plenty of time to concentrate on other areas of the wedding planning.

Using satellite internet san diego ca was also great for planning my wedding because I was able to book our wedding venue, schedule an interview with the wedding photographer and book our honeymoon all in one afternoon! What usually takes couples several weeks or months to plan, I got done in a couple of days easily.

Another great benefit of using the internet to plan the wedding was I was able to order everything online with some things at a discounted price saving us money which was like a wedding gift all in itself!

Plan the perfect 1st birthday bash

I sign up for newletter at Similac Strong Moms online. I read in one of my online mommy friends before that they give free similac so i signed up but i didn't get a similac folks or cash or check like she did waaa. Anyway, every week i received emails from them of what to expect for your baby every month, some great articles about health and stuff. And this time they sent some tips in planning a 1st birthday. Justine will be turning ONE year old this coming August 3rd. It seem like it was yesterday when I was still preggers with my little lamb chop. Now she will be 1 year old. I didn't plan for a big birthday bash due to money constraint and besides J&j don't have friends in this neighborhood yet that we could invite if ever we throw a birthday bash. We planned on celebrating it some friends on the weekend before her birthday and clebrate it again with family. Not a birthday party it's just some simple dinner or lunch perhaps.

To those who plan to give their lil princess or lil buckaroo a big birthday bash, Here are a few tips to keep in mind: from Similac Strong Moms

* Keep the party in one childproofed room.
* Don't serve snacks such as peanuts or popcorn, even if they're just for the adults, because pieces can fall on the floor where babies can get hold of them.
* Don't forget the baby wipes and bibs for baby cleanup.
* Serve vanilla cake instead of chocolate — less mess!
* Set a time limit — the party should go on for about an hour or so.

Now that your baby's a year old, she's going to move on to even more exciting foods (such as birthday cake!). And as your baby grows, so will her need for the right nutrition. That's why Similac Go & Grow® is a great complement to table food for growing babies and toddlers from 9 to 24 months.

Congratulations on all of the things you and your baby have accomplished in the first year. Goodluck to many more exciting years to come!

Just Looking

I have been looking online for roller blinds to replace the broken one in my son's room. I also need to put new roller blinds in Justine's room. It would help them I guess in taking their nap. Jake doesn’t like the sun light blinding his eyes, and if I put him to nap he won't go to sleep right away because of the light in his bedroom window. I found the website www.paylessdecor.com and they have great products such as bamboo shades, blinds and more. For now I am just looking for the things i want to buy when I have the budget for it.

He is Playing, She is Hiding

Jake playing with his chocho traing while the little lambchop was there in the corner hiding.

She can now grab stuff on the table that she can reach. I was infront of the computer when i noticed that my surrounding was so quiet. No little hands and tiny fingers trying to press the keys in my keboard. When I look behind i saw Jake playing by himself and didn't see right away the little lambchop. And there she was with my bag in her hand that she grabbed from the table. I think she was looking for dum-dum (lollipop) in there. That is why she was hiding. Cute! Cuter! Cutest ever

My little lambchop will be one year old next week. She is now drinking whole milk and sleep in her room for more than two months now. She can walk now but she prefers to crawl as it takes her to places faster. I am so proud of my lil girl and I love her to death.

Safety Tips for Kids that Stay Home Alone in the Summer

Content by Leo Lucas

When school lets out for the summer, many kids are left alone while their parents work. If you kids are not going to be supervised, there are a few things you can do to ensure their safety. The most important thing to remember is to set rules. If your child is too old to go to daycare but still makes you wary to leave alone for long periods of time, house rules will help prevent your child from making poor choices.

For example, limit cooking to things that can be prepared in the microwave and remind them that the use of metal in the microwave such as utensils or aluminum foil is prohibited. Do not allow stove top cooking since kids often tend to get distracted with other things and may start a fire inadvertently.

Decide whether friends will be allowed inside while you are at work. If you are going to allow friends, make sure their parent know you will not be there to supervise so there is no issue later. It may be best to limit interaction to activities done outside such as riding bikes or playing frisbee. If outside activities are permitted, make sure another parent is available in the event of an accident.

If you live in a high traffic area such as a new neighborhood where construction is taking place or on a busy thoroughfare, it may be better to require your kids to stay indoors. If you have security alarm systems, make sure the kids know the security code and how to alert the security company to danger. This should give you the peace of mind to know help would be on the way if something were to happen.

Playing like NewYorker Kids

With their cousins Lillian and Henry.

As soon as we arrived at my SIL place, she took us right away to this playground with sprinkler inside the school where her son go to. It was a big playground and kids love the sprinkler. All sorts of fun can be played in this area. My kids just love the water especially the little lambchop. They play like a real new yorker kid. I didn't bring any extra clothes so she came home with her wet clothes covered with dry towel.

New TV

Our tv is an old one already thus I have decided to buy a new one. I have saved enough to buy one but I still not able to do so because of some reasons. My kids love to watch their favorite tv shows and their dvds so I definitely need a new tv. I have found tv deals that are really irresistible. I even think that with the deals that are being offered, there is no reason why I shouldn't get and buy tv now.

I do believe that letting kids watch educational shows in TV are really good for them. And yes, it is good for me too, so that I can do some blogging while they are watching tv.

All About J&J

If you live in a rented house or apartment you don't get everything like nice playground, nice neighborhood, or nice backyard to play with. The house we rented right now has swing set in the back yard and a seesaw. But the ground is not plane, and aside from that there are some crap that the owner left in there. We used to hang out in that back yard though, but after we saw a snake few weeks ago, we kind of scared to let Jake and Justine play over there. Meanwhile, when we visited Slippery Rock last Saturday J&J had a blast playing with the sprinkler. Jake love it if we visit Mary. He always follow her around and talk geberish and feel so at home. Justine is the opposite. When Mary set the sprinkler my dragons had fun playing with it. It was really hot that they stayed in that water for almos an our or over. I didn't kee track of the time but they stayed there long enough to cool off on that hot and humid day. Justine feel asleep after that long day while jake was there following his Grandma around.

How American Idol Brings My Family Together

Guest written by our friend Solomon Thompson

With there being seven people in my family all being of different ages and genders, there are not many shows we enjoy watching together. There is one show though, that everyone in my family from the youngest to the oldest enjoys watching together, and that is American Idol.

Once Ryan Seacrest says those famous words "This is American Idol" everyone immediately quiets down and we all sit down to watch. There are few family friendly shows left out there that most family members enjoy together and luckily American Idol is still one of them. We usually start watching the show at the beginning of the season where we all laugh together at some of the auditions of the poor contestants who try to make it to Hollywood. Generally, once all of the contestants have been chosen for Hollywood everyone in our family has picked their own favorite.

Even as the season progresses on, I am still amazed at how quiet and still my family is as we watch American Idol on Direct TV en espanol programming. Everyone has their own opinion of the different singers and I laugh at how serious my children get when they are judging their favorite and how they want to vote for their favorite contestants. While voting for all our favorites can take a while I do not mind since it just means next week, at the same time we will all be together again watching our favorite show.

Music and Jake

Jake loves music. Any kind of music he finds it interesting and would enjoy listening to it again and again. But the type of music he always listen every night and during nap time is the classical music that his Granma gave to him. And right now the Hi5 music is his latest obsession. Every time we visit his Grandma in Slippery Rock, Mary always plays classical music that Jake love. Now, Jake got used to the routine of Mary playing music when we get there. So, this past few times that we visited Mary, Jake would just go straight to her cassette and hit it play. He feels so homey at Mary house which is opposite with Justine. The later always hide her face on me, and doesn't want to look her Grandma's eyes. She cried if I left her in the room with her Granma even if Jake and Joe were also around. Anyhow, the picture above was taken last Saturday when we visited Grandma Mary. And Jake played the CD that Mary had it already in the player. He starts dancing as soon as he hit play.

Traveler Reviews Online: Great Planning for Vacations

Post contributed by Alfredo Gaines

Whenever I am considering a new destination for a vacation, I make sure to do everything I can to research it. One of the best ways to research potential vacations is by looking at traveler reviews. There are so many opinions a person can have on anything in a vacation, ranging from the hotel to car rental companies. Before I put money towards any part of a vacation, I make sure to hear what other people say.

There are plenty of places to find traveler reviews online. First, I like to research what people say about general locations. Sometimes I find various places that I would have never thought about, like beaches in California or Florida because of what travelers have said. One vacation I had was amazing. I found out about these gorgeous beaches in Malibu where all of the celebrities stayed. Through traveler reviews, I was also able to find great hotel recommendations and recommendations for car rental companies. I can honestly say that my best vacations have been ones that were recommended by other travelers on satilight internet! Using my satellite internet Montana, I could never imagine that I would discover such far off and tropical places to visit!

Overall, looking for traveler reviews online is a great way to plan vacations! Hearing what other people say can have great effects on the vacation you choose.

A Tease and Mischievous Lil Girl

A handful, tease, mischievous .... and more adjectives to describe this lil lambchop but definitely a cutie.
Here she comes...Look at that grin? She is up into something.
Then, I put her back in her Dora couch and she giggles and laugh.
She is coming again ....

And there she is trying to reach the keyboard so she can to blog.
This lil girl was teasing me when Joe and Jake were in the hospital last Friday. I thought I can have a peaceful blogging atmosphere but I guess I was wrong. I underestimated the power of this small, cute but terribly adorable lil lambchop. Pressing any button is her new thing now. I tried to finish updating my blog before Joe and Jake comes home. But this girl was taking my whole time. I kept putting her back to her couch many times and trying to get rid of her and stopping her keyboard obsession. Of course, the Father and son came home with me not finishing my blog and not able to bloghop as well. That night i went to bed at 3:45 in the morning. Life of a mom blogger, it's not easy but it certainly fun.

Virus in His Hip

Yesterday, something strange happened to our buckaroo. He woke up limping and didn't want to put weight on his leg. He can't walk and if he tried he wabble and fell. Babger called the doctor early that morning for an appointment. He took Jake first to his Pediatrician to have him checked whats going on. His Pedia said it was bad and he needed a blood test for that. So, they went to the children's hospital that afternoon for the blood test. Our lil man was always been a tough guy, he just react a little when they draw blood from him and that was it. He didn't cry at all. He came home with a bunch of stickers as bribe. Anyhow, we got the result later that day and found out that he had a virus in his hip that caused him not to walk. I don't know the name of that virus but it's very common for kids. They said that type of virus would just go away, but it's better to be on the safe side than be sorry. Jake is fine now, he can walk and run which is typical of Jake.

Number Plates for the Car Collector

Number plates have become incredibly popular these days, especially in the United Kingdom. Number plates in Europe are similar to personalized plates in the United States but there is one major difference; numbers rather than letters. Personalized plates in the United States feature words such as GO-SOX, ILUVDOGS, or C U IN OC. Some personalized plates in the United States have numbers in them as well but very infrequently. License plates with numbers on them in Europe, especially the United Kingdom, can be purchased through various companies for different prices. The most affordable price on the market today is 250 euros, and this price is all-inclusive. Once the plate is purchased you can register the numbers with the automotive agency closest to you for 999 euros.

There are just under 40,000,000 registrations available to the public to purchase for their plates with numbers, which means that there are plenty of number combinations available to choose from when registering. If you are a collector of cars, no matter how old or how young they might be, you should definitely consider ordering custom plates with numbers on them for your vehicles. You will be able to keep track of your vehicles a lot easier by naming them using numbers. This is especially true if you collect cars from foreign countries. Car collections such as those of late night host, Jay Leno, can get incredibly large, which means that you might lose track of how many vehicles you actually have in your collection.

Getting a plate with numbers on it can help to simplify the tracking process of your vehicles, especially if you run a business that uses multiple vehicles. Such businesses include taxi services, delivery services, courier services and many other vehicles services. The collection of plates with numbers on them can also be a fun hobby to have.
